Successfully decommissioning networks in a live data centre by simultaneously replacing out-moded equipment with the latest technology is just one of many specialities offered by ICEE Managed Services, who will be highlighting this achievement and other distinctive capabilities on the company’s stand, CO2, at the Data Centre World exhibition, ExCeL in London’s Docklands, from March 11th – 12th, 2015.

At Data Centre World, besides discussing the above work with visitors, ICEE Managed Services will be showcasing its comprehensive range of products and installation services including dedicated project management and bespoke manufacturing resources.

The company will be targeting potential public and private sector customers who want to build new, refurbish, relocate, downsize or simply require ongoing support for large and small data centres, server and computer rooms.

Besides sourcing and supplying standard racking, cabinets and other hardware, the company offers a bespoke design and manufacture service. For cases where standard equipment is too constraining or unavailable, ICEE will make practical and flexible custom-made solutions, produced by the latest laser, water-jet and other advanced metalworking machines, from simple brackets to large fabrications or complete turnkey solutions.

Cabinets and racking may be fitted with cooling systems, power distribution, cable management and advanced security devices, or any other original equipment manufacturer (OEM) component or assembly that a customer’s specification demands.

Paul Harris, managing director of ICEE Managed Services, said: “One of the ways we save time and costs for clients – and minimise risk – is to make, source, assemble and test as much as possible at our manufacturing plant, including structured cabling and components.

“This cuts down time on site and the number of visits, which customers like because it helps security, reduces congestion, minimises cost and generally makes the whole process more efficient. Whether a job is large or small, we employ highly experienced installation engineers and provide a dedicated project manager, so that streamlines the whole process.”

ICEE offers preventative maintenance, testing, diagnostics and supporting records to ensure optimum running of equipment and services. This includes first line maintenance, responding to callouts and providing repair stock to support stated service level agreements (SLAs). For larger deployments, ICEE offers warehousing, storage, pre-build and staging together with logistics management.
