Pushbutton stations are widely used for numerous applications in the industrial environment
Applications include starting, stopping, or resetting machines and controlling automated processes such as conveyor belts. Another very important use is where large, red, and often latching buttons are used to immediately shut down equipment in an emergency.
Hammond’s pushbutton enclosures are designed to house 22mm European or 30mm North American pushbuttons, indicator lights and switches. We manufacture 11 different families in a variety of sealing levels and materials, enabling the optimum solution for the operating environment and the application to be specified from standard products.
If you are exporting your products to North America, all our pushbutton enclosures are UL Listed to various NEMA sealing standards. Available in many different sizes and materials, our most popular sizes have one, two, three or four holes, but there are many other sizes and different hole configurations available as standard products.
All designs are UL Listed for use in systems that require compliance to North American requirements and hygienic options are available for food and pharmaceutical applications.
Typical functionality available in 22.5mm sizes
- Pushbuttons: flush, extended, guarded and momentary or maintained action buttons.
- Emergency Stop (E-Stop) Pushbuttons: Large red mushroom-head switches, often twist-to-release or key-release.
- Selector Switches: 2-position, 3-position, knob-style, or lever-actuated rotary switches.
- Key Switches: Security or mode-selection switches operated via removable keys.
- Pilot Lights & Indicators: LED or incandescent signal lights and lens assemblies.

The miniature mild steel IP54 MPB Series
Primarily for use in indoor environments, the IP54 MPB Series are fabricated from mild steel, powder coated in either ANSI61 grey or RAL light grey.
Key features of the miniature MPB Series
- Seven sizes: 83mm x 70mm x 89mm to 265mm x 165mm x 108mm
- Available with 22mm European holes only
- Complete with up to 12 device mounting holes for 22mm components depending on size
- Sealed to IP54
- Smooth continuously welded seams
- Complete with integral welded mounting brackets
- Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells
- The three larger sizes have internally hinged removable covers designed to hold the cover open during wiring
- The door is fitted with a bonding stud and a grounding stud is provided on the enclosure body
The 304 or 316 stainless steel IP66 1435SS Series
Available in either 304 or 316 grade stainless steel, the IP66 1435SS Series is designed for use in applications where corrosion resistance is a key consideration.

- Seven sizes: 89mm x 83mm x 70mm to 298mm x 216mm x 76mm
- Complete with up to 12 device mounting holes for 22 or 30mm components depending on size
- Sealed to IP66

- The three larger sizes have internally hinged removable covers designed to hold the cover open during wiring

The polycarbonate IP66 1554PB Series
Lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant, and UV-stable, our polycarbonate 1554PB polycarbonate pushbutton enclosures are suitable for installation both indoors and outdoors.

- 17 sizes from 90mm x 90mm x 60mm to 300mm x 240mm x 120mm
- Up to 20 device mounting holes for 22 or 30mm switches – size dependent
- IP66 rated: suitable for indoor or outdoor installation

- Stainless steel lid to base fixings
- Preformed silicone rubber gasket inside the lid mounting area
