For industrial applications Hammond offers many different families of sealed, UL listed and NEMA rated enclosures fabricated from aluminium

Aluminium is an interesting element. It is lightweight, with roughly 1/3 the weight of steel, it is soft and easily worked, which is a great benefit, particularly if on-site modifications are needed. It is ductile and non-magnetic, and it has excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. It is non-corrosive, so it doesn’t need any form of protective coating but can be left in its natural state, where a layer of protective aluminium oxide forms naturally.

For industrial applications Hammond offers many different families of sealed enclosures fabricated from aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel, polycarbonate or GRP. Specifiers have a wide choice of materials, sizes, sealing ratings and UL Listings to meet the varying requirements of the environment where the equipment will be installed.

An overview of Hammond’s main industrial aluminium products, manufactured from sheet aluminium or are diecast, is below. Click here to see the details of our main industrial aluminium enclosures.
