Our extensive range of hole plugs is designed to seal spare holes and cut outs machined into an enclosure or conduit until they are needed.
During the design phase, it makes good sense to consider whether additional I/O, indicators, switches and conduit access points might be required at some time after the initial installation and to include extra holes and cut outs to accommodate them. These holes must be sealed until they are required, which is where our extensive range of hole plugs comes into its own.
They are designed for one-person removal in the field, reducing on-site time considerably compared with having to remove all the existing HMI components in order to swap in a complete replacement with additional holes. From the future-proofing point of view, it’s far more effective to include extra holes in the first place and blank them off until they are needed. Rework is another application where hole plugs could be useful. If a hole was drilled in the wrong location, rather than ordering a new enclosure, simply fill the incorrect hole opening with a hole plug.
We offer two ranges, one in 304 stainless steel and the other in polycarbonate.
IP66 304 stainless steel
The hole plugs are designed to close unused pushbutton holes, conduit openings and knock-out holes against dust, oil and water. They are available in 304 stainless steel in a wide variety of sizes to suit many different applications.
- Recognised component UR & cUR Type 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (IP66)
- 304 stainless steel complete with an oil-resistant gasket
- Secured with a threaded stud and plated wing nut
- Two sizes specifically for 22mm and 30mm pushbutton holes
- A further six sizes for sealing hole diameters from 22mm up to 64mm.
Polycarbonate hole plugs
- Recognised component for use with UL & CSA listed enclosures Type 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X (IP66)
- Complete with a neoprene/EPDM gasket
- Secured with a locking ring
- Two sizes specifically for 22mm and 30mm pushbutton holes
- A further nine sizes for sealing holes from 13mm to 121mm
