Trade body for fire and security firms to participate at IFSEC International

Fire and security firms are being urged to attend next month’s IFSEC International conference, after the FSA and ECA agreed a partnership with the organisers to host a series of seminars highlighting new business opportunities and major developments in the industry.

IFSEC – which is aimed at security professionals from across the supply chain – and its sister event FIREX International, devoted to the fire industry, will be held from Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 June at ExCeL London.

During IFSEC and FIREX, the ECA and FSA will be involved in the following events:

  • 21 June – Growing your security business
  • 22 June – Electrical safety: the hidden perils
  • 23 June – The future of home automation
  • 23 June – Smart buildings and home technology

Head of the FSA Steve Martin commented:

“IFSEC International is without doubt one of the biggest occasions on the fire and security calendar and we are delighted to have such a prominent role at this year’s conference.

“Our seminars aim to showcase some of the biggest innovations in the industry, and to give professionals the information they need to grow their business and expand into new areas of work.”

Director of IFSEC International Gerry Dunphy added:

“IFSEC and FIREX are delighted to be welcoming the FSA to this year’s shows as the members are a key audience within the security and fire sectors. The shows provide a blend of products, technical expertise and learning opportunities to help FSA members harness vital knowledge to develop and grow their businesses.”

Some of the keynote speakers during the three-day event include: former British Army officer Colonel Tim Collins, BBC broadcaster Kate Adie, and double Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell.

The FSA and ECA will also have an ongoing presence during the conference, by hosting a stand within the exhibition area. IFSEC/FIREX is completely free for the industry to attend. To find out more or to confirm your attendance, please visit www.ifsec.co.uk.
