NET has appointed Jon Dicken as its new Technical Development Manager
Dicken will work alongside NET’s current Technical Development Manager Stephen Plant to manage and develop the charity’s network of assessment centres and portfolio of assessments of occupational competence.
He joins NET after a 35-year career in the industry which has seen him work on a wide range of electrical installation and maintenance projects – from small domestic installations to large commercial and high security industrial projects. He has also worked as an external verifier for a major UK awarding organisation, and was previously Head of Training at Clarkson Evans, where he designed and delivered a number of their training courses and acted as their AM2 centre manager.
NET CEO Iain Macdonald commented: “Jon has a wealth of experience in the industry and in the world of training, and has had a long standing relationship with NET through his previous work. He was a key member of our AM2 review group, and played a leading role in the development of the Building Controls Professional Assessment and the reviews of the AM2 in 2009 and 2015. I’m delighted that he has joined our team and know his experience and enthusiasm will be a major asset to us going forward.”
