One of the biggest global brands in industrial automation, Delta Electronics, is set to power into the UK market, following the appointment of Softstart UK as its principal distributor for Britain and Ireland. (see www.softstartuk.co./delta-products.html)
Delta is headquartered in Taiwan and has offices and R&D centres around the world. It is the predominant global supplier of switching power supplies – it is difficult to find a laptop or desktop computer that does not use its products. It is also a major source for visual displays, networking solutions and industrial automation technologies.
Softstart is based in Great Yarmouth and services a national and international client base using best in class technology coupled with technical excellence and gold standard customer service.
Delta set up a European head office in the Netherlands sometime ago, through which it has established a strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe.
Now it wants to build solid foundations throughout Western Europe.
Stuart Harvey of Softstart explains: “We differentiate ourselves in the UK marketplace by only working with the very best manufacturers. With Asian companies become more global in their outlook, we have been able to cherry-pick the very best of them to partner with.
“There is no doubting Delta’s product quality, but equally important is its commitment to a strategic global development. They have set up a worldwide network of support services that we will be tapping into as we introduce the UK industrial base to automation solutions that are innovative and groundbreaking.”
Softstart’s activities straddle almost all sectors of the economy, from water, food and pharma to steel, marine, manufacturing and electronics. Many of its biggest orders are for overseas companies involved in major infrastructure projects.
