Delta, a global leader in power and smart green solutions today released its first Sustainability Report based on the European Union (EU)’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), detailing its 2024environmental, social and governance performance

As one of the early adopters among global electronics manufacturers, Delta has voluntarily published this report ahead of 2028 (covering data from 2027), the regulatory official compliance year, underscoring its proactive commitment to transparency and sustainable growth.

Jesse Chou, Delta’s Chief Sustainability Officer, said, “Completing a CSRD sustainability report with group-wide data ahead of schedule reflects our undertaking to advancing comparability of sustainability disclosures across different standards in different regions worldwide. This will allow our partners and stakeholders in the European Union and beyond to better determine how Delta’s governance, environmental and social participation endeavours contribute to sustainability.

Moreover, this report establishes a solid baseline for Delta’s sustainability disclosures in line with the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) and complements our ESG Report prepared under the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards. “It is with immense pride and a deep sense of purpose that I share our inaugural 2024 CSRD Report. To us, this isn’t just a document; it’s a milestone,” said Dalip Sharma, President and General Manager, Delta Electronics EMEA.

“Sustainability has been a core of Delta’s strategic development for over 5 decades as we strive to build a better tomorrow for mankind. This Sustainability Report reflects the progress we’ve made together and the path ahead as we further solidify our position as a pioneer in smart energy-efficient solutions. “

The key distinctions between the ESRS-based CSRD sustainability report and the GRI-based ESG report lie in the granularity of data points, topic structure and regulatory scope. The ESRS introduces more prescriptive and standardized disclosure requirements within a mandatory EU framework, while GRI remains a largely voluntary, globally recognised framework, offering greater flexibility and adaptability in topic coverage and depth. In the long term, Delta will explore the feasibility of creating a unified report to improve reporting efficiency and enhance accessibility for global stakeholders. The report highlights Delta’s progress across its most material sustainability topics, including climate change, circular economy and responsible business conduct.
