Cummins Power Generation, a leading global manufacturer of power generation systems, has launched a new initiative to help engineers and specifiers understand how they can future-proof their facilities with low emission power systems.

The new initiative includes the launch of http://now.cumminspower.com/greenprint, a digital video channel using a ‘talking heads’ advertising campaign. The campaign demonstrates Cummins Power Generation’s dedication to highlighting the importance of current European emission regulations, and legislation already on the horizon.

John Dorman, power systems director, EMER said, “Cummins’ new campaign is focused on Europe with the objective of raising awareness of the low emission power systems.

“We are reaching out to consulting engineers, designers and specifiers – the people who ultimately propose and decide which power system is required at the outset of a project – explaining that they should act now to future-proof their clients investment.

“Cummins’ campaign emphasises the need for corporate social responsibility, financial responsibility and a reduced carbon footprint.

“Cummins Power Generation has the holistic perspective and capability to design, manufacture, deliver and support complete power systems. We call this the ‘Power of One’ – Complete Power Systems Accountability – it’s the message at the heart of everything we do.

“We also showcase how our emissionised power systems meet tough seismic regulations – our rivals don’t offer this as standard,” said Dorman. “With Japan’s Fukushima disaster still producing serious repercussions we want to highlight that specifiers can no longer simply opt for the cheapest power systems, the have a clear responsibility to ensure they provide the best value power systems for the long term.”
