Hughes Trade is celebrating after being named the Miele Professional Partner for the East Midlands. This follows the sale of the previous incumbent, Wilson Electrics, to JLA

Hughes Trade will now employ ten of Wilson Electrics’ staff and operate from premises in Boston Road, Leicester and be under the day to day control of manager Jason Smith.

From here the Hughes’ team will service customers in Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire.

“This is a great vote of confidence in Hughes Trade and how we operate,” said its general manager Paul Chisnall, “We have been a Miele Professional Partner for over four years looking after Norfolk and Suffolk so we already have the experience in supplying and servicing the company’s extensive range of commercial laundry and dishwasher products”.

“After sale support, the continuing care and service of a commercial appliance, is as important as product selection so it’s advisable it is undertaken by the right team. JLA do not have Miele Professional Partner status so we were delighted when Miele asked us to take over the East Midlands area and provide authorised service to Miele customers there.

“As an authorised partner we have a comprehensive range of genuine spare parts and all our engineers are equipped with Miele’s bespoke diagnostic and programming software which helps reduce downtime and keep repair costs to a minimum.”

Added Les Marshall, sales & marketing director at Miele Professional; “I am delighted that following the sale of Wilson Electrics we have been able to work with Hughes Trade to ensure a rapid and seamless transfer of Miele’s affairs, ensuring our customers continue to receive the very highest levels of service”.

“Hughes has shown a tremendous commitment to the Miele brand over the years with a highly motivated and skilled team. This enthusiasm will now be extended throughout the East Midlands and we looking forward to continuing our successful relationship”.

Concluded Paul Chisnall; “As well as fully supporting existing customers we will be looking to develop the business, and increase the workforce, in sectors including: residential care homes; holiday parks; hotels: guest houses; schools; pubs and restaurants”.

Miele’s professional appliances are well respected in the industry and designed for 30,000 cycles, offering a wide range of specialist products including washers that can take loads of up to 32kg and dishwashers with duration under 3 minutes.

Hughes Electrical launched its Trade Division in 2007 which today has over 50 employees, an annual turnover of £16m and operates from 14 locations across the country with its HQ in Norwich.
