Apr 16, 2014 | Cables and Accessories

Adaptaflex, a flexible conduit systems brand, has achieved Lloyd’s Register Type Approval for a wide range of products for marine applications.

Lloyd’s Register Type Approval is the impartial certification service which provides independent third party Type Approval certificates, proving product conformity with specific standards or specifications and verification of an appropriate production quality system.

Adaptaflex have held a Lloyd’s Register Type Approval for their conduits, fittings and cable glands since 1996.

Lloyd’s Register Type Approval is available for a wide range of Adaptaflex products for marine applications including the Adaptalok ATS one piece and also push-on liquid tight fittings. To achieve Lloyd’s Register Type Approval, Adaptaflex had to undergo a review of its design and test data to establish that the products comply with specific codes or specifications.

Adaptaflex production controls were also inspected to confirm that its flexible conduit systems for marine applications are manufactured in accordance with the submitted design data. The certification is valid for five years, authorising Adaptaflex to use the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval mark during this time.
