For testing all 6V and 12V SLA batteries from 1.2Ah and 100Ah for any installation

Originally designed with the alarm installer in mind, engineers from the automotive, aerospace, marine, military and health-care sectors can use the ACT/612 Intelligent Battery Tester to carry out accurate battery maintenance inspections.

The tester provides a fast and precise solution to measuring the actual Ah capacity available in 6V and 12V SLA (AGM, GEL and Flooded) batteries from 1.2Ah and 100Ah.

It simulates a full 20-hour battery discharge test in seconds and will automatically display DC voltage and actual Ah capacity available.

By giving actual Ah capacity, rather than a percentage, this offers a far more meaningful result allowing the engineer to know exactly how long the battery will power their equipment.

The Ah capacity reading should be compared with a chart found on the front of the meter showing the most common battery sizes and at what Ah capacity they should be recharged or replaced.

Defective batteries are automatically identified without the need for complicated settings.

Key Features

  • Simulates 20 hour (C20) discharge test in seconds
  • Designed for 6V and 12V sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries between 1.2Ah and 100Ah
  • Can be calibrated to test cyclic GEL and car FLOODED batteries between 1.2Ah and 100Ah
  • Displays DC Voltage and the actual Ampere hour (Ah) capacity available
  • Powered by the battery under test, with ultra low heat generation for continuous testing
  • Simple in operation, free from complicated settings and no user interpretation of results is required
  • Can be used by engineers from various industries including security, telecommunications and mobility
  • Manufactured from high impact ABS with included silicone holster
  • Designed and Manufactured in the UK

Dual voltage, designed for common lead acid battery types

Use the Calibration Control to select either standby SLA, cyclic GEL and car FLOODED battery types prior to testing. The ACT/612 will test 6V battery models between 1.2Ah and 10Ah, and 12V battery models between 1.2Ah and 100Ah.

Simple Operation

Connect the clamps to the battery, turn the Ah Calibration Control to the desired battery type under test and press the ‘TEST’ button.  Results are displayed within seconds.

Results indicate when to recharge or replace

Battery manufacturers recommend to recharge or replace a battery when its rated Ah capacity falls below 65%. By giving a clear and accurate reading of a battery’s Ah capacity available, the GOLD PLUS makes it easy to identify replacements quickly. A helpful table located on the front of the tester shows common battery sizes and at what Ah capacity rate they should be recharged or replaced.

Unique Ah Calibration Control

Not only does this control allow the engineer to select the desired battery technology under test, it also allows the battery tester to be calibrated to many non-standard SLA battery types.

Advanced Pulse Load Technology

The ACT/612 uses advanced pulse load technology to analyze Ah capacity, based on the battery’s temperature and state of charge. This method is significantly more accurate than measuring voltage and internal resistance and does not deplete the battery unlike a conventional battery load tester.
