pmx hi resHBM has launched the PMX measuring amplifier system as the ideal solution for numerous production and test measurement tasks while providing effective machine and plant monitoring through the use of real-time Industrial Ethernet protocols Ethercat and Profinet. The scalable system is designed for optimal integration in modern automation systems.

The amplifier samples signals at 19.2 kHz, internally processes them and transfers the results in real time allowing mean or limit values to be easily determined. Production processes such as fitting or pressing can be easily monitored. The modular system has been ruggedly designed to meet the harsh demands of industrial environments and can easily be expanded ensuring greater investment security.

The PMX system can operate as a stand-alone device or as part of an automation network where several PMX devices can be automatically synchronized. Set up is simplified with Ethernet utilised for connection to a PC for configuration or visualization. HBM provides innovative web server technology for operating the PMX system so that separate software is not needed.

The system comprises a basic unit that holds up to five plug-in cards. One of these is usually a communication card for the Industrial Ethercat or Profinet protocols. The remaining four slots can then be used for different amplifiers with four channels each and are available for strain gauges (SG), analog standard signals (current, voltage) and digital inputs/outputs.
