Alstom Grid’s Technical Institute has announced its schedule for 2012, offering a range of training courses in electrical grid safety, operations and maintenance of its power equipment, protection, control and network management solutions for electrical engineers across the UK.

The Technical Institute, located at Alstom Grid Centre of Competence in Stafford, has over 30 years of experience and offers courses encompassing all aspects of electricity – from fundamentals to in-depth equipment knowledge, with up to date contents according to current active regulations. Attendees learn from field experienced trainers with the highest levels of technical expertise and teaching skills.

“Alstom Grid’s technical expertise, acquired as a high voltage equipment leader, supports the development of our customer’s team” commented John Rothwell, Alstom UK training manager.

Together with them, Alstom Grid’s Technical Institute builds the training plan that better meets needs and training objectives, and provides courses in the latest advanced technologies, either via a class room course, practical hands-on, e-learning or 3D modelling.”

He added, “Training is the key to maintaining peak equipment performance in a safe environment and to motivate staff. Gaining hands-on experience and enhancing technical skills adds long term value to a customer’s businesses and individual careers.”
